This architectural "gem" won the Golden Lion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, generating a lot of discussion and a lot of bad reviews. The award is not just for the architecture. What I have not yet clear is the reason for the award: I still don't understand if it was rewarded the people for its initiative trespassing this abandoned tower and doing one of the poorest but organized communities in Caracas or it was rewarded the project called "Great Horizon" to rescue this tower of misery.

Esta "joyita" arquitectónica ganó el León de Oro en la Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia, generando una gran polémica y un sinfín de malas críticas. El premio no es precisamente por la arquitectura. Lo que aún no tengo claro es la razón del premio: Aún no entiendo si se premió la iniciativa de unos pobladores por invadir esta torre abandonada e hicieron allí una de las comunidades más pobres pero organizadas de Caracas o se premió el proyecto "Gran Horizonte" que busca rescatar esta torre de miseria.
